New Highs
Positive earnings reports help lift the Dow to new highs. The Dow ended the session with a gain of 87.97 points to 12,621.77. The SPX added 12.14 points to finish on 1,440.13. We are in green and looking ok.
Last week saw the tech sector suffer after earnings news from tech companies failed to meet raised expectations. However, things have changed this week with traders much more optimistic about the state of corporate earnings, especially in the tech sector. Wednesday’s session was highlighted by sharp gains in several leading tech stocks, including Yahoo and Sun Microsystems.
