Still Going Up
The SPX gained again another 3.78 points to finish the Tuesday on 1,448.39. We are still in the green but would really like to see some down movement.
Earnings season is here and the markets are not expecting much. Earnings are expected to show much slower growth than they have for the past several years. Thomson First Call is expecting growth to be just 3.3 percent and Standard and Poor is saying just 5 percent. The first quarter is expected to end 14 consecutive quarters of double-digit percentage growth in earnings. We'll see.
Also out today are the Fed's minutes which could move the market down if they are not helpful.
As for the put trade we shall see what we happens today and review tonight.
Until next time.
