Tight Day At The Office
Markets traded within a tight range Thursday and ultimately did very little. The Dow fell 5.44 points to close at 13,627.64. However, the SPX gained 0.39 points to finish on 1,530.62. We are still in green and looking ok.
There were two drivers Thursday; the economy and merger activity. Merger activity is normally bullish, but economic data was mixed, leaving stocks flat ahead of more key data due out today, the main thing being non farm payrolls.
